If you’re planning your upcoming relocation, you’ll likely want to make sure you call at least 2 to 3 weeks before the desired moving date.

Like with most things when it comes to moving – preparation is golden. Ensuring you have a super accurate inventory list will give your movers a very clear idea of what exactly you need. Keep an eye on all those smaller things – rugs, lamps, wall hangings… we’ve seen those forgotten more times than we can count, and they add up fast!

We do not allow anything to be left in drawers when we are transporting furniture. In our experience, leaving anything (yes, even clothes!) leads to higher chances of drawers collapsing during transportation, and we want to ensure we are transporting your items safely.

Yes! Sunbeam Movers are completely licensed and insured with active USDOT and MC numbers.

Moving Estimate

This is likely our most popular service, and for a good reason: a partial pack is a type of packing service where you can leave the protection of all of your furniture to us, but you pack your own boxes – perfect for customers who want to make sure they are packing their boxes the way they like it, and organizing all those bits and bobs, but don’t want to deal with wrapping up couches, TVs, mirrors, etc.

This is the ideal service for customers who want to kick back, relax, and still have all their items moved by the end of the day! A full pack is when we swoop in, pack up all your belongings, protect all of your furniture, put them on our truck, and then get them where you need to go without you needing to worry about getting all the supplies beforehand. With this option, there is no web search for how to pack a kitchen – we have you covered!

Sunbeam Movers is not an insurance company, but we still offer a valuation for your furniture in case things go wrong. Aside from the standard 0.60 cents per pound valuation that comes FREE OF CHARGE for all of our moves, we will also present you with opinions on purchasing full value protection on the day of the move.

All moves are based on the amount of items you are moving. This is why it is important to provide moving consultants with as much info about the move as possible. You will be provided with a flat rate based on that information. As long as you don’t have any significant changes to your inventory or overall move, your flat rate will not change.

If movers notice that there is a significant amount of items more than we originally discussed, they will revise the quote and provide you with an updated estimate. You are always able to call prior to your move and update inventory if you notice that it will be different than originally planned.

Booking and Payments

You can reserve your move with ease! You can choose between two convenient options: a friendly call to our moving consultants or an email reservation. Whatever suits your needs better.

Yes! With how quickly our availability goes, we must ask for a deposit before we can keep a spot reserved for you. For local moves we require a deposit of $170 to reserve, while for long-distance moves, we require a deposit of 10% of your estimated grand total.

We accept all cards except AmEx – but if you want to avoid the 3% credit card fee, you can use a debit card, cash, or a bank-certified check!

As long as you contact us more than 5 days before the day of your move, you can cancel your move without any fees. Just send us an email to call your moving consultant! It’s also possible to cancel by calling or emailing us five days before the move.

Yes! Our movers are professionals, and they will use blankets, boxes, and shrink wrap to ensure your furniture is safe during the entire moving process.

Absolutely! We offer three options for you to choose from:

  • Partial pack – You pack your boxes and loose items, and we take care of the rest.
  • Full pack – You kick back, and we make sure to pack and protect everything for you.
  • Few items pack – We can carefully pack either one of your valuable possessions or several items.

Yes, we offer 100% secure, monitored, and climate-controlled storage that you can use for as long as you need!

Totally! Just show us where you want the furniture to be, and we will do everything we can to accommodate your needs.
